Location: Central London (with occasional requirement to travel to other sites when necessary)
Position: 9 month – Fixed Term Contract. 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £60k pro rata
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Organisational Design Project Manager to join our client, a high-profile charity with headquarters in London, on a fixed term basis.
This is a pivotal role, where the main focus is to design, develop and lead the organisation through a restructuring process.
The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, preferably from an HR background, and a proven track record of managing change within the charitable or public sector. Applicants should have gained experience of reviewing and addressing all areas of organisational infrastructure, including people, systems, and resources.
Key responsibilities include:
Overall management of the restructure process, communicating changes where necessary and appropriate throughout the organisation
Translation of strategic goals into effective operating models – outlining objectives, key accountabilities, and interdependencies
Use of recognised project management methodology in order to ensure the project is clearly defined
Engage existing resources (HR, Finance, Communications, L and D, IT) in various strands of the change programme, highlighting priorities linked to agreed time-frames and outcomes
Identification of areas for improvement within operational functions
Use of analytical tools and techniques where appropriate
Ensure the organisation maintains “business as usual” whilst managing transformation
Active participation in Executive meetings
Support the design of new structures and plan all stages of the various interventions that will deliver change
Working closely with the charity’s People Director to ensure successful delivery of projects
Support with analysis and evaluation of project, defining the measures that the organisation will use to measure success, both qualitative and quantitative
Previous experience of managing similar projects, preferably within the charitable or public services sector
Demonstrable skills in developing successful relationships with confidence to persuade and challenge opposing views for the benefit of organisations
Change management experience is essential with strong analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication, advocacy and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work to deadlines
Experience of designing business processes, work flow and governance structures (including decision accountabilities)
Ability to lead organisations through restructure whilst maintaining complete diplomacy and confidentiality at all times
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
