Operations Manager

Location: Hinton Admiral
Position: Permanent, full time. Monday to Friday. 40 hours per week.
Salary: circa £45k DOE, plus travel expenses

We are currently working on behalf of a  300-year old organisation, who look  after a large area of diverse land types including, health land, woodland, agricultural land, and many forms of built property including a town centre estate on the East Cliff of Bournemouth.

They now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join their hard-working team, based in Hinton, Christchurch.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Chief Operating Officer in managing the operations of the group through the establishment and management of sound organisational systems and controls.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsibility for managing group insurance, ensuring adequate cover is maintained and managing renewal costs
  • Responsibility for the management of group IT and Website
  • Deliver projects on time, in full and within budget, communicating project activity internally where appropriate
  • Schedule and plan group meetings including board meetings and quarterly account management reviews
  • Maintain an ‘audit ready’ mindset
  • Standardise digital and hard copy filing structure and review archiving strategy
  • Manage and maintain trust documentation including deeds and trustee documentation
  • Ensure Health and Safety audits are conducted and reviewed regularly
  • Striving to meet and exceed, where possible, all department KPIs and those of the wider business
  • To undertake duties/training as determined by the needs of the business


  • Proven experience of Operations Management in a similar setting or from industry
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills – both verbal and written
  • Reliable, self-disciplined and a team player
  • Experience of implementing new and improved policies and processes

This position will suit a hands-on, proactive Operations Manager who is able to demonstrate ownership of tasks and a high level of engagement.

Drivers licence is essential. A company car will be provided as there will be a requirement to travel regularly between Bournemouth, Hinton and Anglesey.
