New Product Programmer

Location:  Ferndown Industrial Estate, Wimborne.
Position:   Permanent, full time. Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4.30pm, finishing at 12.30pm on Fridays
Salary:      £30k – 33k DOE


MSA Manufacturing Ltd is a bespoke producer of machine and kit cut composite core and reinforcement materials. They are a key supplier to a number of prestigious companies and are now looking for a New Product Programmer to join their team.

The successful candidate will have a responsibility to ensure the quality and efficiency of programs, material yields and job instructions within the easiest and most effective way of delivering for our client’s customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Producing concise and accurate job instructions, drawing packs and programs for 3 and 5 axis milling machines, waterjet cutter and knife cutters
  • Manage any new machine parameters to ensure optimal performance
  • Organising and maintaining a structured Engineering file system
  • Create, manipulate, and modify customer/in-house designs using CAD as required to facilitate Product development.
  • Helping to schedule the work within the department
  • Adhere to health and safety and quality procedures at all times
  • Design for Manufacture of all internal products.
  • To proactively identify and suggest and implement improvements for the department
  • Apply and implement all SOP’s and adhere to all company rules
  • Estimate programming times for quotation purposes, and monitor during development.
  • Produce working bill of materials for quoting purposes and maintain throughout development.

Essential requirements

  • Experience of programming for 3 and 5 axis CNC machines
  • Good CAD/CAM knowledge, preferably Solidworks, Spaceclaim and MasterCam
  • Good time management
  • Good document and paperwork management
  • A high level of attention to detail and computer literacy



  • Experience of operating CNC machinery
  • Ability to respond comfortably to rapid changes in scheduling
  • Proven ability to manage tasks
  • Project Management, scheduling work to timelines
  • A Firm understanding of design for manufacture
  • Experience working with EPDM systems
